Greetings fellow readers! I wanted to take a moment to write a quick update for my reading and blogging plans for the rest of this year.
As the holidays draw closer, most of us (me included) will probably be busy buying gifts, making delicious food, and trying to accomplish our everyday tasks, all while daylight is slowly dwindling. But let me stop there before you start feeling overwhelmed. You don’t have to be stressed! If you’re a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, numerous verses abound in the Bible to encourage us. My favorite verse is Philippians 4:13 KJV which says, “I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me.”
If you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, I pray you will ask Jesus to come into your heart right now to forgive your sins and fill you with the peace He alone can give. As the Bible says in the book of Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” But the wonderful thing is the Bible also says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
So on that note, I am planning to just take each day as it comes and prioritize spending time with the Lord and my family! My next read is a book that was published in 2011 called Rafa. It is an autobiography by Rafael Nadal, one of the most famous tennis players of this generation. It’s been sitting on my shelf for a while now, and I’m trying to read all the books I own before I buy anymore! We’ll see how that goes…
Other than that, I hope to read the classic A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens! Lord willing, I’ll post again by the end of the year; but if I don’t, I hope and pray everyone has a safe and happy holiday season.
Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and happy reading!
Amen happyhamster8! Have a great holiday season! PTL for this great season of peace!
