📣Big Anouncement

It’s been quiet on the blog for quiete some time. I’ve been pursuing other interests and always too busy to dedicate any free time to creative activities. However, that is about to change. While I’m still pretty busy with a full time job and online college, I don’t want to neglect my stories any longer.

I’ve always wanted to write a novel or even a short story, but every time I get some momentum something stops me. I make excuses about being too busy, or feel guilty that I’m not being productive enough to spend the extra time needed for a project that requires a lot of time and energy without instant gratification. Most of all, I’m stopped by fear of failure. Thoughts like, “Do I even know what I’m doing?” or “Would anyone even want to read this story?” stop me dead in my tracks. However, I’m learning how to live in complete and total dependence upon God’s guidance and provision instead of the natural human response of rejecting opportunities out of fear. That’s why I’m doing something I’ve never done before this Fall.

In November of 2025, I will be participating in the first ever Jesus Writing Month. It’s a month long challenge to complete the story God has given me alongside other Christian writers. But this is not simply a planning party or a grueling non-stop writing challenge. This will be a journey with other Christian writers who will encourage each other to complete our novels and kick fear to the curb. It will be a challenge to reject the excuses I’ve made and trust God’s timing; it will be a beautiful opportunity to grow with other faith-based writers; and it will be the first of its kind.

I hope you’ll join me in this special project if you have a story God has given you that you’ve always wanted to complete. Here is the link to join the challenge, and please let me know if you join! https://www.jesuswritingmonth.com/

I am a Christian who loves helping others. I have a wonderful job, and I delight in reading, my two cats, and spending every day to the glory of the Lord!
